Prestige Cars

From the November 2011 issue.

When it comes to prestige cars, Italy continues to lead the way. From Dec 3 to 11, many of the most sought after prestige vehicles will be in Bologna for the 36th International Automobile Exhibition.

Brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Alfa Romeo and Fiat have all firmly cemented themselves on the world stage. Expert craftsmanship, superior design and exceptional performance have seen these cars become some of the most desired vehicles in existence.

As Italy’s premier new car exhibition, the International Automobile Exhibition (Salone Internazionale Dell’Automobile) will showcase the latest in new vehicle design and technology from Italy and around the world, allowing visitors to get up and close and personal with the many cars that will fill the 14 pavilions at the Quartiere Fieristico di Bologna.

There will also be 11 outdoor areas, where manufacturers will offer test drives of some of their latest cars. Last year alone, approximately 36,000 test drives were taken during the course of the event.

The MotorSport Arena is always a popular attraction, with spectacular shows and demonstrations. In the past, this has included the Ferrari F1 Pit Stop organised by the Ferrari Formula 1 racing team, the GT Challenge and the Memorial Bettega races where leading international rally champions have battled it out on the track.
As in 2010, the show will again play host to Electric City which focuses on electric vehicles and is supported by energy industry heavyweight, Enel.

In this issue, Italianicious showcases a selection of the latest prestige cars to come out of the factories of some of Italy’s premier prestige vehicle manufacturers.
